Join CIIS Public Programs and Performances March 16th as we celebrate the sounds of Africa with special guests Habib Koité and Vusi Mahlasela. The event's uniquely San Francisco backdrop of celebrated author Dave Eggers's solo exhibition, IDAHO, is courtesy of our hosts for the evening, the Jules Maeght Gallery.
Kicking off the evening and welcoming you through song is Ivory Coast singer and songwriter, Fely Tchaco. Embodying a new generation of African artists Fely honors her musical traditions while adding a flair of jazz and pop. Enjoy a signature cocktail courtesy of Mission District favorite Bissap Baobab or, choose from a selection of wine or bubbles as you enjoy Fely's music and take in the featured exhibit (in between bites of our savory appetizers, of course).
